Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113

If I select"Bookmarks" and go to scroll through them sometimes the scrolling
will not stop for me. I have a lot of bookmarks and they are categorized in many
folders. My son looked at my collection or URL's and folders and was astounded
at what I have collected. I don't know if this is a problem for Mozilla. Am I
doing something incorrectly?

Another thing is in how fast I can scroll around in Mozilla's bookmarks. If I go
into the regular bookmark area I find it rather slow and tedious to scroll but,
strangely, if I go into the "Manage Bookmarks" area I can move much quicker. Can
you look into improving the bookmarking speed for us power users of Mozilla WEB
browsing?

Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. If you have a lot of bookmarks try scrolling up and down looking for
something. If you are having the same problem as I then at some point as the
bookmarks scroll by they won't stop until they get to either the top or bottom
(but not necessarily all of the way).
2.
3.

Expected Results:
It should stop scrolling when you take your mouse away from the top or bottom
limits of the bookmark screen.
I´ve got a 2 MB bookmarks file, bookmarks are mostly in 18 folders in the
Personal Toolbar, containing bookmarks and subfolders.
I´m seeing this scrolling error, when the disk starts swapping. Seems that while
the disk is swapping mozilla updates the mousecursor, but doesn´t react on the
position. I´m seeing this on a slow Celeron 333, Win98, 96 MB, and not much free
space on the disk partitions.
I've been seeing this too occasionally in:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040608

I can't always reproduce it on demand. If the mouse pointer hovers over the
scroll up/down areas in the Bookmarks pull-down it starts to scroll. If I move
the mouse in and out of the area, the list often continues to scroll
uncontrollably. It appears to be a timing issue with the hover detection of the
pointer in the autoscroll area, just at the time threshold of when the
autoscroll starts.
