Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a2) Gecko/20040603 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a2) Gecko/20040603 The text line input in Chatzilla turned into a textarea (I think I dragged something accidentally). As a result, ctrl+enter must be pressed in order to send a message even if I try to resize it back down to a single line. And hitting tab will remove focus from the textarea rather than it's previous username autocompletion. I updated my Mozilla to today's nightly build and the configuration was still "saved" in my profile, even though there's no such option to toggle this in the Chatzilla section of the preferences. Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce Steps to Reproduce: 1. Drag something above or around the text input of Chatzilla? Actual Results: Text input became textarea. unreversable. Only solution is to destroy your Mozilla profile, start over, and hope it never happens again. Expected Results: Took me by surprise. I have no clue why thsi happened or if it's fixable. In the "textarea" type mode, if you move the arrow to the right of the textarea (before the end of the window. It's the margin in between), it's actually a button. It's tooltip says "send this text (Ctrl+Enter)." It's as if this nightmare was planned as a feature. But I'm stuck in between because there's no option in the prefs to undo this.
This is by design (except the bit below). You can revert to single-line mode with Ctrl-Down Arrow, or click the button to the right of the input (below the send button). You could also enter "/pref multiline false" in the box and hit Ctrl-Enter. The lack of images on the buttons to the right of the input (there's one there normally that expands it, like the one to send and one the put it back again) suggests you're using a badly done or outdated custom theme. Normally the buttons have black arrows indicating what they do, but themes are allowed to override these like any other part of the interface.
