When a user watches a thread, that thread should be distinguished from others by
displaying in a different color (user customizable in the "Display" preferences
section).

I agree that it should be distinguishable in some way, but not by color. I like
the idea of having a column with a toggle, like for read and spam.

In Chrome.css add:

/* watched threads */
{
    color: red !important;

}

Need something to let user choose the color in its preferences.
