User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040404 Firefox/0.8
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040404 Firefox/0.8
Following the link in the referenced page to jpbe.org causes Firefox 0.8 and
Mozilla 1.4.1 to crash instantly. Moz 1.8a1 doesn't have this problem. Versions
tested are all running on Fedora Core 1, under Gnome.
Note that copying the link's location and psating it in the address bar does not
cause this crash. Instead, the browser gets stuck at 'Waiting for www.jpbe.net'.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the referenced URL
2. Follow the link near the bottom labelled 'info here'
Actual Results:
Browser crashes. If run from an xterm, does not give any diagnostic messages
such as 'Segmentation fault'
Expected Results:
The page opens.
Crash occurs with a clean profile.

verified. If an older version crashes and a newer version doesn't, odds are
that we've fixed that particular crash bug since those releases.
Please reopen if you can reproduce on a current Firefox nightly build (trunk or
branch)

Bleargh... I did reproduce this on the last nightly build of Firefox. Sorry I
didn't make that clear.

Peter Berry: Could you reproduce with Firefox 0.9.x? Could you provide TalkBack
incident ID?

Works for me on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7)
Gecko/20040624 Firefox/0.9. The Asian text wouldn't be a cause of a crash, would it?

The issue seems to have been resolved in 0.9. I expected it would, considering
it couldn't be reproduced in vanilla Moz.
