User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i586; en-US; rv:1.8a1) Gecko/20040520 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i586; en-US; rv:1.8a1) Gecko/20040520 As it happens quite often that mozilla crashes and I get the feedback/talkback agent, and only very broad choices of what to add to the information sent back to the Mozilla developers, I only have a vague idea as to what to write further in the crash report. It would therefore be very helpful if I in Mozilla could configure exactly what type of info I would allow to be automatically collected, and when the feedback window appears during a crash, it should show exactly what it has collected, eg. number of tabs, URLs in those tabs, how many windows were open, mail, composer, etc., and let me as the user supposedly knowing best about what is going on, add whatever information I think is missing. The user shouldn't be able to edit the automatically collected information, as that might invalidate it. If it contains something that the user doesn't want to go, only Cancel should be the option, outside adding info and Send. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Ergo, please look at this as a really inadequate feedback agent, where we as users don't even know if it is of any help to the developers. I hope the info is collected and used, but I would really like to see improvements on it and I see it a lot so I really think it should be dealt with, ie. I don't see it as a feature enhancement, but as a missing development piece.
Have you ever clicked on 'Show Details'? There, you can select/deselect which portions to send (if it's not grayed out, that is).
There does not appear to be a "Show details" button on the Linux version. Is ther one on the Windows version?
Yes, there is. Sorry, I should've realized that different platforms' implementations might/would vary.
So, this is a bug against the Linux version only. will someone bump this up to New status???
sure

Summary: When mozilla crashes I need to know exactly what is sent back, in order to know what to add. → Implement 'Details' button on Linux talkback.
I think I may have confused you guys :-( Quality feedback agent generates *2* different windows. One displays the bug ready to send, and allows the user to tailor the sent bug. This window *does* have a details button. The other window displays a list of bugs send, and about to be sent. This does not have a details button. (This is the one I was looking at) If details button on the first window is what is rquired, then maybe the need for this bug should be reviewed! Sorry for any confusion caused.
