The installation succeeded with no warning Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Enigmail (Tbird-AVIARY build) on Firefox from http://enigmail.mozdev.org/nightly.html Actual Results: Installation succeeds, with no warning. Expected Results: Some message about incompatibility with Firefox.

Same for me [20040606 Installer/Branch] This is reported with Thunderbird 20040605 [Aviary] too As I understand it, the reporter of bug 245324 had the wanted message box saying Firefox won't install the extension. So this might be a regression. I'm can't tell the exact date, though. For me, installation doesn't succeed, the extension's description still saying "This item will be installed after a restart", or whatever, even after a restart.

Confirming on: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040608 Firefox/0.8.0+ On the 2004-06-02 build there was a slightly unclear warning box (see Bug 245324), now nothing other than the permanent "restart to install" text in the EM as described in comment 2.

Confirmed. Windows XP Firefox 0.9 (http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/0.9/FirefoxSetup-0.9.exe)
This was fixed by the same checkin that fixed Bug 247322: http://bonsai.mozilla.org/cvsquery.cgi?date=explicit&mindate=2004-06-23+14%3A08&maxdate=2004-06-23+14%3A08 It now WFM in: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040624 Firefox/0.9.0+ Marking FIXED
