I am having the same error message "cannot access this site because SSL is disabled". Both SSL 2.0 and 3.0 are enabled. I am running XP Pro SP1 and the URL is a bank location (BofA).
I have also gotten this message, using Firefox 1.0 Preview, with Windows XP, attempting to visit hotmail.com & bugzilla.mozilla.org.
try allow all cookies/popups and see if it works in 1.0PR or 1.0RC1
I installed Firefox 1.0 3 times: on Windows XP SP2, Windows NT and Linux. No problem with XP and Linux, but on NT I had the same problem (SSL is disabled). I solved the problem by enableing TLS 1.0 (and SSL) Efter next restart of Firefox, there was no problem any more. I disabled TLS 1.0 again, restartet Firefox (to reconstruct the problem), but now everything is working fine.......
