Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040608 Firefox/0.8.0+
Some extensions do not show up in the extension dialouge even if they are
installed. This makes it harder to uninstall extensions.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download something like Googlebar
2. Look in extensions and you will find it doesn't show up
Actual Results:
It didn't show up in the RC of 0.9 extension dialouge
Expected Results:
It should show all extensions in the dialouge like in the previous version of
Firefox, 0.8.

If the extension is not written for 0.9 compatibilty, then yes it won't show.
This is not a bug. It's up to the extension writers to update their extensions.

wouldn't it be more user firendly if a message was displayed that told the user
this? Something like: "The extension <extension name> is not compatible with
Firefox 0.9."
It is very confusing if you THINK you installed the extension, yet it's not
there when you go look for it.

This bug may be "invalid", but it's a real issue. This should be resolved before
0.9, or at the very least 1.0, is released.
If I go to http://www.texturizer.net/firefox/extensions/, the primary extensions
resource for end users, try to install an extension, install it 'successfully',
only to have it suddenly disappear from the list upon completing the install
with no explanation, it IS a problem.
(EditCSS installed and worked, but it wasn't in the Extensions list, so I'd say
this isn't INVALID).
Recommendation: A block similar to what happens when you try to install an
incompatible theme should be put in place to avoid this confusion.
