This is because 0.9 rc has a "0.8.0+" version number.

Verified.

I's not so much that I want the 0.9 notes to be linked, it's just that a # of
tips and tricks and warnings that you N E E D are not in the 0.8 release notes.

So I fail to see the point not to fix this as of right now.
