I have several lengthy bug lists for different releases that I track, e.g. lists
showing bugs with blocking0.9+, blocking1.0+ etc. As time progresses I would
like to adjust aspects of all or some large set of the bugs in these lists, e.g.
adjust Priorities, or to pick a more advanced case - adjust flag settings. This
is the primary thing that gets done during bug triage meetings, and currently
it's a pain to have to sit through and go through each bug one by one marking
the changes and submitting. 

What I would like is a way to make a bug list itself "editable" such that any of
the comments can be edited. Priority is a simple example because it'd require
the Priority field change to a menulist, which is fairly easy to imagine. This
could become a real (heavyweight) feature as more fields become editable, also
one might imagine a text field that could be expanded via DHTML where you can
enter a comment to add on each bug. Clicking "Submit" at the base of the bug
list causes all of the changes to be submitted at once.

With large projects and lengthy bug lists, some kind of quick management
solution would be a real time saver.

Reassigning bugs that I'm not actively working on to the default component owner
in order to try to make some sanity out of my personal buglist.  This doesn't
mean the bug isn't being dealt with, just that I'm not the one doing it.  If you
are dealing with this bug, please assign it to yourself.

this proposal is better suited to being implemented as an extension instead of in bugzilla core.

I’ll figure out if this is possible/useful once bug 1529362 is solved.
