User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; de-DE; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; de-DE; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8 When doing an installation of FireFox 0.8 in Auto mode with enabled "Dialog Installing" and "Dialog Install Successful" only, the checkbox "Launch App Checked" is always checked (even if "Launch App Checked" is set to FALSE). We'd like to install FF through NAL (Novell Application Launcher), which runs the installation with Administrator privileges. Therefore the User shouldn't be able to run FF during installation. If "Dialog Install Successful" is set to FALSE the installation keeps the installing window open. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. click setup.exe 2. 3. Actual Results: User can start FF within Administrator context. Expected Results: It should be possible to disable the Launch App checkbox in config.ini.
I should mention that the user who has installed FF through NAL (with Administrator rights) can run cmd.exe or explorer.exe (via File -> Open File) and has Administrator access in those programs.
To reproduce this behavior FF can be installed under Windows XP by doing a "run as" Administrator installation.

This doesn't affect the NSIS installer which has been in use since Firefox 2.0. Resolving -> WONTFIX as it applies to fixing this bug for Firefox 1.5
