Step to reproduce:
Go to to Mozilla home page.
Go to Edit > Preferences and click on Navigator on the left hand side.
Delete a letter from the current homepage location and click OK.
The Mozilla page will now have lots of strange boxes around it but a refresh
seems to clear everything up.

Wish I could remember the word the first reporter of this bug used to
describe it. This is a DUP for certain, though. It occurs in conjunction
with bug 7862, "When prefs window is left, focus switches to other app", M15.
You don't actually need to do anything in the Prefs, just leave them again,
to trigger both bugs.

One was a DUP of bug 7862, the other described this display problem, clearly
visible on the Mozilla homepage, described in bug 17617 as "Part (2)".
For now, marking as a DUP of bug 17617; cpratt@netscape.com, if it leaps out
at you, change it to the proper bug number, otherwise, this one's not worth
the effort, since there is bug for this problem already.
