User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040609 Firefox/0.8.0+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040609 Firefox/0.8.0+ (FF0.9RC) Firefox Update window closes before you can read the message Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Go to the update area in the stausbar and doubleclick 2.The Firefox Update window appears 3.The Firefox Update Window disappears before you can read what it's doing 4.The Same behaviour from the Tools Extensions Window Actual Results: The window disappears so fast that you can't read what it is doing. Expected Results: Let the Firefox Update window stay open for at least a fixed amount of seconds (i suggest 5 or so) allowing people to read the textlines in the window. If this happens on my old AMD850 then it's probably even worse on a modern machine. Or maybe it's my internetconnection (2240/416 Kbit/sec) causing the too quick disappearance >

This might be a dupe of Bug 245341 which was fixed on Thursday, can you try with the latest nightly (or tinderbox) and see if you can still reproduce this?
