User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040608 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040608 If a heavy duty java application like JDeveloper is running on the machine with Mozilla Browser and Mail open, then after working in JDeveloper for about an hour or so, if the Mozilla window is clicked to receive focus, it is extremely slow and there is a lot of activity on the Hard disk. And it is under these circumstances that Mozilla Mail fails to retrieve any NEW email messages from the POP3 server. Note that the checking of mail works properly before JDeveloper was started. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start the computer 2. Start Mozilla (browser and email) 3. Click on "Get Msgs" button in mail. 4. Now start JDeveloper 5. Work in it for about an hour or so. 6. Bring the Mail into focus now 7. Click on "Get Msgs" button in mail. Actual Results: At step 3, the mails were fetched properly. But at step7, no emails were retrieved. At step 6, there was heavy hard disk activity and extreme slowness in refreshing the Mozilla interface. Expected Results: At step7, it should have fetched new emails. At step6, it should repaint quickly.
