If I want to download an XPI instead of install it, I cannot currently right
click  a link.

Why do you need to right click the link on that function?

If I do anything regarding that URL shown it'd be cropping it down in size.. not
linking it.

If this bug is referring to u.m.o with "List manager" then I think this feature
is already implemented.  Although the link URL is obscure, right clicking and
choosing Save Link As brings up the download dialog for the XPI file.

No, I'm sure I want this one done.  Even if you just turn it into a link.  If
you are unsure of what screen I am referring to, let me know.

I know what screen you're refering to.. You haven't provided a valid reason why
you even need that linkified.. and my plan most likely removes that line as a
full URL anyway..
Your suggestion that that URL would be valid for verification is wrong, since
that URL isn't usable at that point. At this point, since entires are being
hand-entered, then there should be no invalid entries to verify at this point.
Plus, even with author-entered items, this would not be the entry point for such
a verification, that should be in the approval section.
