Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US;1.7 rc 3
In 1.7 rc3, Slashdot.org starts to load itself but unable to complete the page
(6/16/2004 2:30 am EST). If I open up new tabs and try to go to other websites,
the new tabs show a loading symbol but does not display anything. When I revert
back to 1.7 rc2 everything is fine.
I am using the proxomitron as my proxy server.
I uninstalled mozilla and reinstalled mozilla several times with same results.
I tried disabling proxy server with no change in results.
1.7 rc3 gives freeze but when I revert back to 1.7 rc 2 everything is fine.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to slashdot.org
2. open new tab and try to go to another website
3.
Actual Results:
nothing loads beyond the initial slashdot screen
Expected Results:
completely load the webpage (slashdot.org) and the other sites I wanted to go to
in the other tabs.

I found out what was causing this bug and it had to do with the way I misconfigured zone alarm. When I uninstalled zone alarm (I have a firewall on my server so don't need the firewall on the desktop but was just playing around), the bug was gone. It was something to do with the DDE server and the fact that I disabled ZA on startup... anyway I am using 1.7 rc 3 fine now. Sorry for the noise on bugzilla.
Summary: unable to load any other pages after loading slashdot.org → unable to load any other pages after loading slashdot.org
