User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040608 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040608 Windows 2000 with SP 4. Mozilla 1.7rc3 Mozilla 1.7rc3 freezes the system (must use power-off button) when paging down quickly (i.e. single clicking the scrollbar to page down - repeatedly). The sample URL provided is an example, but it has happened on other (very long) WEB pages. Nothing works when this happens - not even ctrl-alt-del; even the mouse pointer freezes. Tried waiting up to 30 minutes for mozilla to recover and free the system - it never happens. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. go to http://jamesthornton.com/linux/man 2. repeatedly single-click the mouse on the vertical scrollbar to page down multiple pages 3. the system freezes after 4 or 5 mouse clicks Actual Results: the system freezes and must be powered off. Expected Results: should have scolled down to the next page
Here is another page that causes the same problem: http://man.linuxquestions.org/2.php
Product: Browser → Seamonkey
WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050405 Tested both reported Sites and noticed no problem. Resolving as WFM Larry, when the Problem still exists with a current build (in this case, a talkback-ID would be great) feel free to re-open.
