User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040614 Firefox/0.9 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040614 Firefox/0.9 Loading NetBeans home page from a bookmark load it into a frame in the left third of the existing page, pushing that page to the right. Loading NetBeans home page by typing the URL replaces the existing page, as expected. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Home page is set to http://127.0.0.1/ 2. Type in www.netbeans.org, wait for page to load. 3. Bookmark page in Bookmarks Toolbar Folder 4. Click on Home button under back button, wait for page to load. 5. Click on Welcome to NetBeans Button. Actual Results: The NetBeans home page loads as a frame in the left third of the page. The home page is moved over to the right in the remaining area. Expected Results: Expected NetBeans home page to replace the current web page. Search under bookmarks did not find a duplicate. Mac OS X 10.3.4 Firebird 0.9.0 (previously running 0.8.0, which did the same thing) Mozilla 0.6 does not exhibit this behavior. Local web page served by Apache. Page is just a simple title and 11 links to stuff on my hard drive. (Page can be provided upon request.) This does not happen with any other browser I have tried (Mozilla, Netscape, Opera, Omniweb, Safari, or iCab. Disinclined to believe it is a problem with my home page since is works correctly with all those other browsers, and if typed in. Let me know what else you need to reproduce this problem. (Is there a way to attach the web page or should I just paste it in this info box.

first, you're absolutely missusing the target attribute, read about it. second, if your problem only happens in firefox then you should report it against that product

Hi Timeless, I have posted to other bug sites, beu this is my first time here. I started at the Firefox portion of the web site, but apparently slipped out somehow. As stated earlier, I searched for this bug without success before entering. Then I went through a guided bug entry system. Apparently it did not ask for the target milestone, or I overlooked it. Sorry. Will setting the target to Firefox 0.9 be enough to get this bug headed in the right direction, or do I need to start over in a different bug reporting system/site? I did some more testing. It works properly on W2K Pro. Is there some setting that I should change, or some cache to clean out, that will solve or help isolate the problem? Travis
WFM with Firefox 0.9 on Mac 10.3.4. Can you reproduce this with clean install? BTW, "target attribute" in comment 3 is on your home page. target="User Administration" target="http://localhost:10000" ... Read http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/present/frames.html#adef-target
WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041002 Firefox/0.10 If you can still reproduce this with a recent build, reopen this bug.

I finally discovered what caused this issue. It was the only bookmark I had that had the "open in sidebar" option checked. When I unchecked this option, the bookmark behaved as expected. Sorry for the false alarm. Travis
sorry for bugspam, long-overdue mass reassign of ancient QA contact bugs, filter on "beltznerLovesGoats" to get rid of this mass change
