User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040120 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040120 The status bar does eventually say 'connected to ...' etc, but nothing appears. The application can then only be killed, not properly shut. The problem does not occur in firefox 0.8 or mozilla 1.6 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Connect to url with firefox 2. 3. Actual Results: see under details Expected Results: A dialog box should appear regarding the certificate: Website certified by an unknown authority. Accepting the certificate temporarily then produces the login page for this site.
This also happens to me. Try surfing to an even more high-profile site, like Yahoo mail: https://mail.yahoo.com It exhibits exactly the same behavior. It should bring up a dialog indicating that the site's certificate authority is unknown, but instead it hangs the browser. Additionally, if I go into the Security preferences and click on any of the cert management buttons, the browser hangs in the same way.
I do not get this problem. Using 1.0 PR, this problem does not happen to me.
yes, it seems to have been solved now. I have no problems anymore.
