This URL crashes on me, WinNT. Can I get some help with a stack trace? Works on linux.
Severity: normal → critical
Tried this on NT, 2000-01-25-08-M14 nightly binary, and it loaded in 386s over a modem. No crash, browser worked normally afterwards, if slowly. This page is a [perf] glutton. After the first 175 lines of code showed up, the scrollbar did not update at all and scrolling was only possible between that position and the beginning, until the load finished. There might be a clue in there as to what is causing a crash with a faster connection. Or this might just not be crashing anymore.
Adding "crash" keyword to all known open crasher bugs.

On linux, the displays almost identical behavor to what sidr describes, except that it only allows one to scroll between lines 1 and 102 until the document finishes loading. Mcafee suggested looking at Quantify data for loading this page, and so I did so with a build from the tip from the morning of Wednesday, Jan 26. Vidur looked at it with me has some ideas based on that. Additionally, just trying to scroll and refresh the document after it has loaded seems both slow and badly broken.

Assigning all open "nobody@mozilla.org" bugs to "leger@netscape.com" to weed thru.

Works fine for me on NT.
Adding "crash" keyword.

vidur, are you working on this bug? it's on the performance laundry list and we should really try to find a real owner for this.
Somebody nuked the URL, restoring; resummarizing. dmose, why did this end up as nobody@mozilla.org? We should fix this, and it shouldn't be on leger's plate.
Summary: WinNT: This URL crashes → WinNT: This URL loads very slowly
mcafee, can you check to see if it still crashes for you on NT?
no crash on NT, 1/25 build. Still very slow. Removing crash from keyword

OK, troy pointed out that this is actually a dup of 19051. Marking it as such. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 19051 ***
