As i did with Mozilla browser, I wanted to use gvim as my application to see TeX
files, but FIrefox changes automatically /usr/bin/gvim to the symlink target,
/usr/bin/vim, but this makes ViM trying to start non-graphically, and nothing
happens.

It seems impossible to give arguments to an application (it would be
/usr/bin/vim -g)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to download a file type Firefox doesn't handle internally
2. Give /usr/bin/gvim as your desired application to open this MIME type

Actual Results:  
Wait and see (nothing...)

Expected Results:  
Graphical interface of ViM should start.

This is still a separated bug anyway, as the desired application should be
launched, Firefox should not launch the target of the symlink.

If someone observes this on FF trunk, please change the version to unspecified.
This is the case on 1.0.1 (verified on: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US;
rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050223 Firefox/1.0.1).

This looks like an original bug, so confirming -> file handling (OS
Integration's description seems vague).
