When you enter a folder and do not have a message directly "selected" so it's
viewable in the preview pane, and you use the Ctrl-Left Mouse click to select a
group of messages, the messages are selected as if you started from the top of
the list - but you can not delete them. The delete button does not act on the
group selection. 

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on folder/sub folder
2. Ctrl-Click on any message excluding the top message
3. Click the Delete Button on the Menu Bar

Actual Results:  
No action from clicking the delete button.

Expected Results:  
Messages "deleted" (moved to trash)

I can duplicate this symptom using  Shift-Click, not Ctrl-Click.

Similar to but not the same as bug 183721.
