User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040614 Firefox/0.9
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040614 Firefox/0.9

I am using Thunderbird on both Linux (Mandrake 10, T-bird build 20040502), and
Windows 2000 (T-bird build 20040616) on a laptop and desktop PC, both OSsen are
fully patched and up to date. I am using IMAP to access one of my mail accounts,
with identical setups for T-bird in both OSsen.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Read or delete an email in an IMAP session on Linux.
2. Email is still unread / undeleted in T-Bird on Windows.
3. This works if you switch the sequence around - read on Windows, unread in
Linux. The only way to refresh the IMAP contents is to quit T-Bird and re-start it.

Expected Results:
I would have expected the IMAP session in step 2 to show the email was read or
deleted, as appropriate.

Using default themes.

It would be nice to have some way to force the email client to re-synch to the
main IMAP server, to avoid the necessity of quitting T-Bird and re-starting it.

Thank you for a great email client 8-)
also reproducible on T-bird 0.7.1 for Linux and 0.7.2 for Windows

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a

reproduction information if you have it.
