When composing an email, the text wraps on the edge of the editing pane.
This means that when there are scrollbars, the right-hand scrollbar obscures
part of the text.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Compose an email with a line of text wider than the width of the window.
Actual Results:
Text wrapped on the window border, leaving some text beneath the right-hand
scrollbar and causing a bottom scrollbar to appear.
Expected Results:
Text should wrap against the scrollbar edge, and there should be no need for a
scrollbar at the bottom

When composing in plain text, the wrapping is done at the column specified in
preferences (typically 72); quoted text is not wrapped. You can override both
of these behaviors by setting the hidden preference
mail.compose.wrap_to_window_width to True; but be warned that there are some
oddities in using this setting (see bug 233705). Also, long, unbroken "words"
(e.g. URLs) are never wrapped.
(You will see unusual wrap results if you select a proportional font for the
"monospace" font setting that corresponds to the language in which you compose
mail.)
When composing in HTML, the wrapping is done at the window edge, unless you've
formatted the line as <pre> (Preformat) in which case it never wraps.
