24856 - Unable to remove styles (like bold) from text

You can make text bold... but you can't revert it if you made a mistake.  
I first noticed this when I reloaded from my draft folder, an there was a *word* 
present (which is implicitly bolded by the display system.  I removed the 
leading and trailing asterisks, but the word remained bold.  I highlighted it, 
and selected format->bold (several times), but the text remained bold.  I went 
to the end of the word, and tried to delete it (using backspace), but the 
"boldness" ran over to adjacent words in the paragraph... an then they too were 
irrevocably bold.

Not dogfood... but certainly a bother.  I also tried "remove all styles" but 
that didn't work either.

jar, I've seen the "bold spilling over" problem and know how to reproduce it.  
But I haven't seen the problem of not being able to unbold, nor can I reproduce 
it.  Can you give soe exact steps to see this?

a) Press NewMsg in email
b) In the message area, enter the following three lines:
line one
line two
line three
c) Place cursor at end of line three, mouse down, and then drag to select all 
text on all three lines
d) All your text should be highlighted
e) Select menu item format->style->bold
f) First mini-bug: only the first 5 words are bolded, the last word "three" is 
not bolded, and the selection no longer includes it (oops).
g) Select menu item format->style->bold
h) Notice that the boldness has not changed (gone away) on the 5 highlighted 
words. This seems to be a demo of the bug I suggested
i) Repeat step (g), notice no effect :-(

I was running on the M13 final build on Windows NT.

the problem with unbolding is fixed.  I'll file a seperate bug about the "bold 
spilling over" problem.
