User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8a2) Gecko/20040625 Firefox/0.8.0+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8a2) Gecko/20040625 Firefox/0.8.0+ Bug #242275 is said to have been fixed, at least under Linux, but it's still there in every version of Firefox I've been able to get my hands on running under OS X 10.2.8 (jaguar). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. simply point Firefox at the above URL 2. 3. Actual Results: it goes into an infinite loop and has to be killed Expected Results: certificate dialog
My home built firefox trunk Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8a2) Gecko/20040616 Firefox/0.8.0+ Works fine... need to dismiss the dialog twice... after that normal operation. My home built firefox branch Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040623 Firefox/0.9.0+ Works, as expected I updated the summary to better reflect your discripton... the "apple version" has nothing to do with apple... its just an apple ad to show all the software for OS X. Could you post a UA string for the last version of 0.9 you tested?
Summary: bug #242275 has not been fixed in ver. 0.8.0 (from mozilla.org) or 0.9.0 (from apple.com) running OS X 10.2.8 → bug #242275 has not been fixed in ver. 0.8.0+ (20040625) or 0.9.0+ running OS X 10.2.8
Works for me on Firefox 0.9. Also, a comment by Mike Conner in bug 242275 says that the fix will be in Firefox 0.9.1. Please try that when it is released.

Javier, I received an email from Tim from my reply and didn't get a chance to "log" it here... I had him download the latest branch: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040624 Firefox/0.9.0+ from: http://mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-0.9/Firefox-mac.dmg.gz Didn't work for him... but worked for me... he is on 10.2.8 and im on 10.3.3 might this just effect pre-10.3 system (in some strange way?
Tim, do you still see this problem with Firefox 0.9.3? I should hopefully have 10.2 available to me in the next few weeks, so I can debug it then if this is still an issue.
