User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322) Build Identifier: 0.9.0.0 upon clicking the .exe, the computer spends a little time hourglassing then... nothing. doing a cntrl-alt-del i can see it's thread in processes, although no where to be seen in applications and there is no form visible on the desktop. I installed mozilla just to make sure my computer wasnt being a freak. mozilla works like a champ. i tried running the ziped version which incedentally is .8 instead of .9 and the same problem arises. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.install the installation executable. run it. enjoy it. 2.reboot 3.try running again. Actual Results: firefox doesnt load Expected Results: pop up the firefox form
Can you reproduce this with a new profile? http://kb.mozillazine.org/index.phtml?title=Profile_Folder
that was it. may i suggest that firefox has a selection to uninstall profiles or repair them in the installshield. a repair operation could return the last good profile, which was created as a backup when the user installed a mod. i have to admit that i felt like a kid in a candy store, with all those mods to select from. i downloaded alot of them before i even got started. im sure alot of people do and the more they do the higher the probability this might occur in with the windows binary. i did not draw the association that one of those mods caused the program to behave as it did. let me know how i can be of help. if you want me to look at the *.ise let me know
