User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7
Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird version 0.7.1 (20040626)

When forwarding a message containing attachments 2 dialogue boxes appear:
[1] Box title is Sending Messages and contains Cancel button only
Message reads: Status: Attaching fetch>UID>^INBO...l%20Storage^Callow>12...
               Progress:
[2] Box title is Send Message Erro and contains OK button only
Message reads: Sending of message failed.
               There was an error attaching
               fetch>UID>^INBOX^Mail%20Storage^Callow>12. Please check if you
               have access to the file.
No message is delivered to the recipient at all (with or without attachments).
The mail system uses IMAP and this message can be forwarded with the attachments
from a browser using horde.
In version .6 of Thunderbird mail attachments were not sent at all and no erro
messages appeared.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click Forward button
2. Enter address of recipient
3. Click Send button

Actual Results:
Error messages appeared
After clicking on the OK button the error dialogues cleared and the Compose
window was ready to send another message
No mail was delivered to the recipient

Expected Results:
Mail should have been delivered with the attachments intact and no error
dialogues should have appeared
confirming with win32 version 1.0+ (20050711)

Ever confirmed: true
In my recent build from the trunk, version 3 alpha 1 (20060811), this appears to be fixed.
Here are some additional steps we discovered to replicate the issue on a 1.02 build:

Forward a message that contains an embedded image attachment
from an IMAP sub-folder that contains a space in the folder name ("Product Development"), and you will get the error described.

Removing the space from the sub-folder name ("ProductDevelopment") fixes the problem.
Is this fixed in 1.5/2.0? That would help narrow down what the fix was. I'm wondering if some of the work I did for handling .eml attachments might have fixed this as a side effect...

marking fixed since it's fixed on the trunk.

also, is this forward as attachment or forward inline?
David, I have not been able to reproduce the problem in 1.5.0.2. It appears to happen only when forwarding inline, not when forwarding as attachment.
ack, if the fix was pre 1.5, then it's harder for me to find - but I'll give it a shot.
