If new mail arrives directly in a subfolder of an IMAP account, you do not get
notified even by mannually asking Mozilla to verify new mail.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect to an IMAP account with new mail in a sub-folder
2. Press Verify new messages


Actual Results:  
Nothing happens

Expected Results:  
Mozilla should notify there is new mail

Resembles bug 221792

Does the 1.8 trunk work? Can you attach an imap protocol log?
