Used Mac 2000-01-24-01-M13 commercial Netscape5 build:

Cannot create subfolders.

1) Login to mail
2) Tried to create folders up to 4 levels
3) Actual Results: Nothing happened, there were no folders created.

Expected Results: Should create the 4 levels folders and displayed on the
folders' pane successfully.

I am using IMAP mail account.

Reassign to sspitzer for M14. Karen, all platforms, or just Mac?

did it succeed up to 3 folders deep?
Sorry. I am in class yesterday.
Yes. This problem only occurred on Mac..even on 2000-01-26-03-M13 commercial
build...adding [PP] on the summary:
It is strange that I can only create 2 levels' folders at the *FIRST* time...
And after the second time, I just cannot create the same level/1st level folder
any more...even after I exit the application, I still cannot find the second
time created folders.

P.S. Problem not occurred on WinNT & Linux 2000-01-25-20-M13 commercial builds
Change QA contact to me, Cc: Lisa.

Release Notes for M13
Update: This appears to be Mac only and narrowing in on it shows that if you try
to create a New Folder and don't access the pull-right list to select the
folder while in the New Folder dialog the folder won't get created.

In other words if you select a folder while in Folder pane, then Select
New|Folder and just type in the name of the new folder (expecting the selection
showing in the pull right list to be the target location), then click OK the
folder does not get created.

If you click on the pull-right list first, select a folder location, then type
in your new folder name and OK the dialog the new folder get created. Doing it
this way I could create 5 top level folders and 5 sub folders in the same
session.

Also note, once you've tried to create folders the bad way, you can't create any
new folder in that same session. Karen will try more scenarios to verify this
is the case.

Yes. Esther is right.
If I just highlight the specific folder from the folder pane, and than
create/type the folder name right away without selecting from the drop down menu
of the "new folder" dialog, problem will occure.
Updating the summary to reflect that and it only occured
on Mac.

this looks like it is working for me on my mac.

I did this:

select imap server in folder pane
new | folder
type s1
hit ok
select s1 in folder pane
new | folder
type s2
hit ok
select s2 in folder pane
new | folder
type s3
hit ok

am I not doing the right thing?
marking worksforme.

I believe esther and karen that is didn't work at one point, but recent changes
seem to have fixed it.
