Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1) Build Identifier: Often, the first site I visit after I start firefox is slashdot. I will read through the page, opening a new tab (which loads in the background) as I notice a story I am interested in. I have firefox configured such that, when there is only one page loaded, then it doesn't show any tabs. When I open the first link in a new tab, it will shift the page (slashdot) down slightly, presumably to make room for the rendering of the tab bar. This is irritating, since I am currently reading that page and my eyes have to shift slightly; also, it could prove to be a problem if you are using the mouse (if you're fast enough). Please consider changing the behaviour such that adding the tab bar "eats" from the top of the page, rather than shifts the page down. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.configure firefox to load new tabs in the background 2.visit a web page that contains a link 3.cmd-click to open a link on a new tab Actual Results: current page shifts down Expected Results: current page should not be affected
