When you get search results in the html area for specific search engines, the Sidebar search panel also opens with these results in a short list. At the same time, two other things should appear in the Search Sidebar panel: 1) the query itself should be included in the search field in the Sidebar. ex. if you searched for "bicycles", the word "bicycles" would appear in the search field in the Sidebar UI. 2) the top link of persistent search results should be to "Full Results Page". Clicking on this will bring the user to the full web page that listed the results - in other words rerun the search query. Assigning to Robert since his backend delivers this data. cc'ing Matt since he will display these results in the Search Sidebar panel UI (sidebar panel already displays the results, Matt just has to add #1).
assigning QA to Claudius since he does search. setting Milestone to M14 since this is for beta1 (tell me if that is not OK).
QA Contact: nobody → claudius
Target Milestone: M14
(Note) This bug will only pertain to item #1. Item #2 is a) potentially a separate bug and b) no way is it going to be in for beta 1, if ever... the reason: different behaviors based upon whether its a single or multiple search engine aggregate, and those behaviors haven't been defined yet. I won't commit to item #2, sorry.
