After setting Mozilla Firefox as the default browser & importing IE favorites,
when i open a webpage from "favorites" in my start menu, it gives me this message:

"Windows cannot find 'http://my.yahoo.com/'. Make sure you typed the name
correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and
then click Search."

after clicking "ok", the page opens up fine, but it seems that there must be
some simple way to eliminate these error messages...

if this is a duplicate (i searched & couldn't find anything similar), please let
me know.

thanks

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set Mozilla Firefox as default browser
2. Import favorites from IE
3. Open webpage from "Favorites" on start menu

BTW.. 3 years ago i would have resolved this as dup of bug 95767 -> bug 59078
seems this is bug 137363 / bug 246078
Dup'ing against the Firefox version.
See bug 246078 comment 6 and 12 for possible workarounds
