Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040626 Firefox/0.9.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040626 Firefox/0.9.1 Downloaded Thunderbird (1st time) today. The DATE field column only displays the current timestamp (formatted as '00:00 AM/PM'). This also translates into the HEADERS field (Toolbar = 'View > All and/or Normal') as well as expanding the Header Display itself. The DATE itself does not display in any format ('mm/dd/yyyy' or any variation). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start Thunderbird Actual Results: DATE field displays only Timestamp. Does not display month, day, or year (DATE). Affects: Toolbar, Headers, Incoming & Outgoing Mailstamps. ASSUME 'sort-by DATE' would also be affected - but this is day (1) one. Would require additional piece(s) of mail 24+ hours older than the original mail (in/out box) to confirm. Expected Results: Displayed DATE - NOT Timestamp Using Standard THEME - results occurred prior to customizing settings (minor) via toolbar options and prior to importing addy-book from OE. Results still exist after customizations & import. Receiving a plethora of mail daily (DATE), the inability to view or sort by DATE will become a "Show-Stopper" in 72 hours or less! Thanks!

If you mean the mail you recieved today - they should have a date stamp tomorrow
(04-07-05). Report back tomorrow if it works, since mail recieved the same day
will just have a timestamp.

Completely same as Bug 225726 which is DUP of Bug 221543. > Bug 225726 : Date column displayed incompletely, showing time only, > Bug 221543 : Mail Date Column - lists time of day but nil dates. DUP of Bug 221543. See Bug 221543 for cutomization of date display format.
Day 2 - DATE & Timestamp both functioning! RHETORICAL: Answers Not Required ... Has anyone considered the benefits of altering the code to always display the DATE & Timestamp - even during Day 1? Is the Timestamp-only view (Day 1) only on the Thunderbird client side, or does the Timestamp-Only headers display the same on other email clients & recipients (example: Timestamp-Only displays on Forwards & Replies during Day 1)? Considered the implications of the Headers integrity IF the previous question is true?
