User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040626 Firefox/0.9.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040626 Firefox/0.9.1 I was just saving about 50+ images (sample photography images) from various pages for browsing later. I was using Right-Click > Save Image As to save these (JPEG) images. I soon realized how annoying this got because the Download Manager kept popping up after each save. In my opinion, IE and Mozilla, handle it the correct way, they simply save the image without any further prompts. I do like the Download Manager popping up for "actual" downloads but not for saving images. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Right click on an image 2. Choose "Save Image As"

Confirming. We shouldn't be popping up the download manager for saving images.

Sorry, I'm wrong here: According to Ben Goodger's UI document here: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/ue/downloads/ we actually respect the preference to show the download manager. This bug is therefore invalid, sorry.
