Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.7.1) Gecko/20040707
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.7.1) Gecko/20040707
I reported this bug earlier but now I have more details. When I first open the
Mozilla suite (1.7.1) and press Get all new messages, it works fine. If I leave
the suite open for a while (at least one aplication) and try to check for new
mails, it doesn't work. Two things can happen. First, the mail application stays
as if I haven't press any button, no message is printed on the status bar.
Second, the mail app stays checking (the mozilla logo changing as when
loading/working) but nothing happens, it stay that way for a while until I close
the aplication.
I tryed to go back to the 1.6 suite and I detected the problem too. That is
strange because the 1.6 suite work fine for me for a few months but when I
change to the 1.7 suite the problem began. I haven't installed the 1.8 alpha
suite yet.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Mozilla suite
2. Check for new mail pressing "Get all new messages"
3. Wait for a while (5 minutes maybe)
4. Press "Get all new messages" again

This is (unfortunately) a known problem and I experience it myself sometimes.
There's also TB bug 227617 on it.
