User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113

I am running Civilization III with the "Play the World" expansion pack, v1.26f.

If Mozilla is running when I quit Civilization III, then Mozilla eats massive
amounts of CPU time for a couple of minutes afterwards during which time I
experience very poor performance from my computer.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch Civilization III and start a game
2. Quit Civilization III

Actual Results:
In Windows Task Manager, Mozilla is shown to take up 90% or more CPU usage for a
couple of minutes.

Expected Results:
Mozilla should not suck up so many CPU cycles.
seven canadian cents says this is a dupe of bug 76831.

of course, the simple way to fix the problem is to switch to linux.
If bug 76831 comment 206 is correct, this is not a dup.

Does the bug happen also if you have NOT started mailnews in the current session?

To the best of my knowledge, I do not have mailnews installed. I certainly
never run it.
Product: Browser → Seamonkey
Still happening with Mozilla 1.7.6. Also happens with Thunderbird 1.0.2.

Any news on this at all?
-> duping to bug 76831 which was fixed 2005-06-14

please reopen if you still see this using seamonkey 1.1 or thunderbird 1.5 or newer
