Same here for me with Mozilla 1.7. Examples for such cut of sites are
http://www.doom3.com (when you open up the popup window) or
http://www.nicht-lustig.de (the main site with the Flash animation on the top).
This happens with Shockwave Flash 7.0 r25 and Mozilla 1.7. As far as I remember
it didn't happen to me using Mozilla 1.4 and Flash 6.x.
Opera 7.51 with the same plugin doesn'nt have the problem.

As my operating system is Linux, I'd suggest changing OS to All and Product to
Browser (?), as it seems to be a wider spread problem.

The page uses the Microsoft proprietary <embed> tag to show the Flash movie. The
screen crop is actually due to the fact that the movie is shown within a fixed
size <iframe> (http://69.44.60.22/gwb/index.html) on the page, and the use of
the <embed> tag coupled with lots of HTML errors probably cause the Flash movie
to show at the wrong size.

Suggesting this bug gets moved to Tech Evangelism.
I can confirm the behavior exactly on mozilla, firefox and epiphany browsers. I
would also respectfully suggest that saying it is the site's fault is not good
enough. If konqueror and opera do it right, then mozilla should do it too.
Yes, I understand all about the standards. However this is what quirks mode is for.

(http://hitchhikers.movies.go.com/) with no problem at all. today, i get the
split screen problem reported here.
This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

Probably same as bug #278684
