Unconfirmed bug which is a duplicate of a confirmed bug should be confirmed

Details
This is bordering on the philosophical, but here it goes:
1. Create an unconfirmed bug #1
2. Create a confirmed bug #2
3. Mark bug #2 as a duplicate of bug #1
I think at this stage bug #1 should automatically be confirmed, since #2 is
confirmed. Of course, I may be wrong.
