Need to be able to duplicate tabs so the exact same page you are on can either
duplicate into a new tab or new window. (IE can do this FF cannot). Also,
windows should be able to be named, so they can be easily understood. For
example, I have one window with 16 tabs in it with my work and I could name it
"Work" for the taskbar to see. Another window could be "Play" with tabs inside
that. Get it? Fix it!

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
Severity: normal → enhancement
Please file a separate bug for window aliasing.
I have a feeling I've seen this one before.
Summary: not a bug, just feature for tab duplicates + window alias → Ability to Duplicate Tab
See also bug 263942
Note that there's an extension which gives Firefox this ability, called
Duplicate Tab. It also allows you to merge tabs from other windows onto a
single window.

Still, though, I think that this should be part of Firefox itself, and shouldn't
require an extension.
As to giving a name to windows, have you looked at any of the bookmarklets by
Jesse Ruderman?

This one will change what is in the titlebar for you:

javascript:(function(){ var t = prompt(%22Title:%22, document.title); if (t !=
null) document.title = t; })()

As to duplicate tabs, there /are/ extensions to do this.
Duping to bug 263942 as this would provide the requested functionality.
