User-Agent:       Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040713 Firefox/0.9.1+

When clicking on Microsoft's .hqx format links, downloads do not start.
Browser appears to load, but no file save dialog box appears. Downloads work
properly in .bin format, and in IE. No application is associated within
Firefox.

Additional broken page: http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.aspx?
pid=download&location=/mac/DOWNLOAD/MISC/RDC.xml&secid=80&ssid=9&flgnosysreq=Tr
ue

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Visit URL
2. Click on .hqx link to download file

Actual Results:
Browser appears to load, does not show download file dialog.

Expected Results:
Download file dialog appears, download completes.
Happens for me too:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

But, I found that right-clicking the 'if your dl doesn't start click here' link
( a link to the hqx file, not the script button) and choosing 'save as' works fine.
I also noticed that .hqx files are registered to Winzip (on my PC).

I guess what's happening is that, because there's an app registered as the
default file handler in the OS, but not in FF, it's dl'ing the file first before
showing the 'what should FF do with this - open, save etc' popup.

Have you tried waiting for the file to dl? (The one I tried was 4MB and took a
minute or two to complete)
Still broken in here in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US;
rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

No, I don't have anything associated to .hqx. IE identifies it as an unknown
type. It appears to download and be stored in FF's cache though, but nothing
happens afterwards.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
