User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de-AT; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040708 MultiZilla/1.6.4.0b Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de-AT; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040708 MultiZilla/1.6.4.0b I received an email from a user of Novell GroupWise Internet Agent 6.0.5 Beta. The subject of this mail contains a newline character which is printed with a special NL character, at least with the Luxi Sans font I use on Linux. There may be other problems with subjects including linefeeds, e.g. is it RFC-compliant to have newlines in MIME messages? Since mozilla can construct them too it's not a GroupWise-specific problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Construct an email with a newline in the subject. Do it like this: compose a new email and paste at least two (arbitrary) copied lines into the subject widget. Actual Results: See attached screenshot. The "N" stays in the subject column header when I scroll down in the listbox. It vanishes when I choose an other folder or an other window (X11 expose event redraws the column header). Expected Results: Do not print outside the line in the mail listbox. This may be a problem of the font, but mozilla or xorg-x11-6.7.0-5 may be wrong two. I use mozilla-1.7-0.3.2 on FC2 with the modern theme.
