User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040707 Firefox/0.9.2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040707 Firefox/0.9.2 Presently I am using a bookmark manager called Powermarks (http://www.kaylon.com/power.html) which is absolutely the best way to manage bookmarks I ever heard of. Interestingly it follows a quite similar principle like Firefox in its bookmark sidebar: if you type some characters into the bookmark search box, you get all of the matching bookmarks at once, real time. What is missing from Firefox to make this feature much more useable: 1. The ability to write multiple space separated word chunks. E.g. if I have 100 web dictionary bookmarks (with "dictionary" in their title) typing in "dic" will yield 100 result. I would like to further clarify the search by continuing to specify e.g. the language. E.g. "dic eng" would yield all English dictionaries, it would match e.g. "LEO [Eng]lish-German [Dic]tionary" ([chunk] represents the matching chunks) 2. An (at least in my opinion) logical consequence of this feature is that the search should consider all of the bookmark fields, most specifically the description field. E.g. for the bookmark "LEO English-German Dictionary" I would like to write "Woerterbuch" (dictionary in German) in the description, and I would like to find it when I write "woerter" in the search field. Presently you have to change the title to achieve that effect, which is clearly not a solution of you want to add 5-10 descriptory words. Idea: perhaps it should be configurable, which bookmark field is used in the search, if some users find that feature annoying. Remark: I brought the powermarks example only because the mentioned features are already implemented there, and all of the people I know are enthusiastic from the idea it implements. Of course powermarks runs only under Windows, and its Firefox integration is not comparable with the built-in bookmarks etc. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Write word chunks to the bookmark search field 2. Get all bookmarks where some words in some bookmark metadata field match some of the word chunks, and all of the word chunks are matched.
