User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040707 Firefox/0.9.2
Build Identifier: Firefox 0.,9.2
When accessing the above site the following is what I get. With Internet
explorer I get my site information and charts for data that is stored there.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to msn.com
2.select the stock inquiry option.
3.When your query is displayed you can select Portfolio
Actual Results:
MSN Money was not able to detect which browser you are using, but it looks like
you do have the current Portfolio Manager software installed. This usually
happens when your browser session has been corrupted somehow.
Some possible solutions for this problem are listed below. If you try these
fixes and still get this error message, contact MSN Money Technical Support.
* Re-boot your computer.
* If you are connecting to the Internet through a proxy server (or
firewall), reconnect again and/or try an alternative proxy (if available). See
if other computers using the same proxy server also have the same problem.
Expected Results:
Display of stored data at the above site.
With all the summary, details, steps to produce, actual results, expected
results, and now additional info, I'm not sure I'm even in the right place. I
have only been using Firefox for a couple days now. It seems to work ok but
does not display all sites, expeciall those that I need, example: MSN Money and
the portfolio. If I have to keep going back to Internet Explorer, I'll just
continue useing Explorer. Is there a fix or a newer version that takes care of
the problem? Or an extension I think I remember seeing? Help before I dump this.

I am also able to reproduce this bug (always), just by visiting the www.msn.com website.
When I visit the site, all instances of firefox will close.
I am currently running v3 beta 9.

Ryan, having your browser close like that is not a tech evangelism issue but is a case where the browser is crashing. It is difficult to understand the circumstances where your problem might occur. You didn't tell us what operating system you are on: I assume windows, but Windows XP, Windows Vista, ... ? There is no Firefox beta 9. The most recently released is beta 4. If you could get the full user agent that would be good. Are you seeing the Crash Reporter? Can you give us the crash ids?
You might find <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/page.cgi?id=bug-writing.html> helpful in writing a good bug that can help us figure out what is going on.

Hi Bob
For clarification, here is the info from the about menu: (I have no idea why I said beta 9, when this is the alpha 8 version. )
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a8) Gecko/2007091216 GranParadiso/3.0a8
After visiting the site, it tries to load for about a second, then all browsers will close with no warning or crash reporter. I have also browsed through the windows event manager, and no new entries have been created either.
I have also tried running in "safe mode" as well to the same result.
As for plugins, I have Ad-block (v0.7.5.3), no-script (v1.5.2), and web developer (v1.1.5) installed. There are other extensions installed as well, but currently disabled.
Anything you need?
Thanks for the response,
Ryan

That is a very very very old build and probably thousands of bugs have been fixed since then. You should try either beta 4 <http://blog.mozilla.com/blog/2008/03/10/firefox-3-beta-4-out/> or a recent nightly <http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/>.

I have installed the beta 4, and I am able to load the msn.com website without issue.
