RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 249015

People

(Reporter: yehudi, Assigned: bugzilla)

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040707 Firefox/0.9.2
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040707 Firefox/0.9.2

When I click on the "Critical Update(s) Available" icon, the FireFox Update
window shows, "FireFox 0.9.1". That is the previous version to the one I am
using! (0.9.2)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Double click on the "Critical Update(s) Available" icon
2.FireFox Update window shows, "FireFox 0.9.1"
3.

Actual Results:
I click "Cancel" on the FireFox Update window! I don't want to install an old
version over top of the newer one.

Expected Results:
It shouldn't have shown the "Critical Update(s)" icon in the first place.
This is a problem with 0.9, 0.9.1 and 0.9.2, which identify themselves
internally as 0.9 to avoid breaking extensions. But
update.mozilla.org/update.rdf said (for a short time) that 0.9.1 was available.
This was bug 249015.
See bug 249015 comment 46 on how to stop being notified.

By the way, Software Update has been fixed as well in the meantime, bug 245953.
