Creating this as a tracking bug to track our progress after a clean install of Windows XP.

Adobe Registry search for nppdf32.dll returns the following info: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Components\C37BC61A283EBF9 F:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\Browser\nppdf32.dll 68AB67CA7DA7330167640A0000000010 Also as a side note when Adobe was installing I noticed it passed through a recomposer which could add some overhead to the installation. While this was noted on XP I did not see this when installing Adobe on Win 2K.

Shockwave info from regedit: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Macromedia\Shockwave 10\location\common HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Macromedia\Shockwave 10\location\coreplayer HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Macromedia\Shockwave 10\location\coreplayerxtras
Shockwave: Additional info that might be helpful from regedit: HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-6820003330-746137067-725345543-1003\Software\Macromedia\Shockwave 10\InstallType HKEY_USERS also has a location directory similar to HKEY_CURRENT_USER noted in the comment above.
Flash Player On a system without mozilla or firefox installed, there is no .xpt file found anywhere in the Windows system when a search is initiated. After installing Mozilla/Firefox browsers and then installing flash, the flashplayer.xpt file shows up in the Components directory of both browsers.
Quicktime After installing Quicktime and then uninstalling (and making sure to check the uninstall everything option, Quicktime still leaves a .xpt file in the Program Files directory - nsiqtscriptableplugin.xpt resides in the F:\ProgramFiles\Quicktime|Plugins directory. May not be useful information but it is interesting that this file remains after a full uninstall.
