252585 - rename "DOM Inspector" menuitem to "Inspect This Page" or "Inspect Page DOM"?

Inspect This Page doesn't sound nearly as technical as what the dom inspector is.

Inspect This Page sounds like "Page Info".

It's not called "Open DOM Inspector With A Blank Page" or "Empty DOM Inspector".
DOMi shouldn't load a blank page because it's convenient for web developers, the
target audience of DOMi.

I don't like "Inspect This Page".



pro:
"DOM Inspector" opens the inspector window and loads the current page
(#document->HTML).

"New Message" opens a blank message, so DOMi should either open a blank window
or have the menuitem renamed to what it actually does: "Inspect This Page".
With "Read Mail" and "New Message", we've already got some actions in the Tools
menu.

IMHO it doesn't need renaming. It's an optional component, that non-techie
people won't even see in their browser.

Anyway - are they are going to be more confused by the missing word 'page' or
this mysterious acrynoym 'DOM'?

It doesn't need renaming. The DOM inspector only comes when you check
'developers' during the instalation. I guess those people know what they are
talking about.
And will only overlook the 'inspect this page' when they're infact looking for
the DOM inspector.
People who don't know what DOM is will just use the 'default' instalation, and
there is no DOM inspector in that instalation.

This doesn't really affect l10n in a super-negative way since it's a change to
an existing string.

I'm going to WONTFIX this, for the reasons already given and because a) all nearby items are nouns as well, and b), things are a lot different from the way they were at the time this bug was filed.
