User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040722 Firefox/0.9.1+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040722 Firefox/0.9.1+ When a inputfield is focused, pressing crtl+f doesn't call the findtoolbar. You have to click next to it to give the document the focus, and then pressing crtl+f works. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. goto google 2. notice that the inputfield has the focus 3. press crtl+f Actual Results: nothing Expected Results: show the findtoolbar
Seems to work here: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040722 Firefox/0.9.1+ Might be a Linux only issue.
Summary: crtl+F doesn't work when a inputfiled is focused → crtl+F doesn't work when a inputfield is focused
WFM: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040723 Firefox/0.9.1+
I guess it's a linux-only problem then... wtf, just noticed that pressing crtl+G does show op the search toolbar when a textbox is focused. so: crtl+f works when the document has focus crtl+g works both when the docuent has focus and when a textbox has focus
Just found out that F3 also opens the toolbar, so only CRTL+F has a problem. Is there some linux-user that can confirm this bug?
Yes. Ctrl+F does nothing; F3 and Ctrl+G both bring up the toolbar. Confirming. Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040725 Firefox/0.9.1+

Ever confirmed: true
I don't think this is a large bug (some focus copy/paste work i guess...), can somebody confirm this one as it is confirmed by linux-users?
looking over my submitted bugs, this one seems fixed in the meantime.
