User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; sl-SI; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040618 Firefox/0.9
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; sl-SI; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040618 Firefox/0.9

I have just read through the mozilla.org CVS Contributor Form available from
http://www.mozilla.org/hacking/form.html, and should like to point out some
minor issues with language used in it.

First, 'For Committing Code To The mozilla.org CVS Source Repository' should
have both 'to' and 'the' with initial minuscules, because traditional title-case
capitalisation requires that all words should be capitalised except for
prepositions (to), conjunctions and articles (the). Therefore: 'For Comitting
Code to the mozilla.org CVS Source Repository'.

Second, the word 'commit' in the first sentence is misspelt: 'In order to obtain
the ability to COMMITT changes /.../'

Third, the word 'agreement' collocates with 'with', not 'to': '/.../ you must
indicate your agreement TO the terms below /.../' should be '/.../ you must
indicate your agreement WITH the terms below /.../'.

Fourth, 'acceptable' collocates with 'to', not 'by'. 'Other licenses are not
ACCEPTABLE BY mozilla.org until mozilla.org declares them to be acceptable in
writing.' should very likely be changed to read 'Other licenses are not ACCEPTED
BY mozilla.org until mozilla.org declares them to be acceptable in writing.'
(or, alternatively, 'acceptable to')

Fifth, and this is merely a matter of good style, the use of a solidus in
'his/her' is something most linguists, especially those with tendencies to
tradition, abhor. It should probably be 'his or her'. (Naturally enough, many
usage prescriptivists would tell you to use 'his', but that is no longer
politically correct.)

Anyway, I just thought I would let you know about these things; in reality, all
bar the misspelt 'commit' are probably too minor (or even matters of preference
for the first and last ones) to be bothered with ... unless you are already
editing it. :)

I was not aware the errors were made in the PDF file. Giving this back to Marcia.
Marcia: These errors still seem to be in the current CVS Contributor Form, as far as I can tell.

The Committer's Agreement was just updated in June 2008. If there are any issues with the current version of the agreement, please open a new bug.
