RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 251447

(Reporter: davemilford, Assigned: vlad)

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040727 Firefox/0.9.1+
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040727 Firefox/0.9.1+

When clicking the lightning bolt in the bottom right corner for a new Livemark,
the default title for the Livemark is the same as the current page. This can be
very misleading, because frequently the Livemark is for a different feed
entirely on the same server.

For example, when displaying
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/extensions/update.html , the Lightning
bolt appears, so I add a new RSS Livemark. The default name is "Extension
Versioning", which has me believe the RSS feed is for this particular page by
itself. In reality, it's the www.mozilla.org newsfeed, unrelated to the page
I'm currently viewing.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Visit http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/extensions/update.html
2. Add Livemark
Actual Results:
Default name is "Extension Versioning"

Expected Results:
Should display a more apt name for what the feed actually represents (perhaps
fetch the <title> from the feed itself?)
This is a problem with the web page itself; a <link> with a RSS feed should be
relevant to the page it's on, not something else. (If it's something else, it
should just be a normal <a> link somewhere within the body.)
